Strong waves: many of the different surfing tournaments are carried out at Dominical beach.
Dominical is a small town, that is why, its beaches, rivers, and mountains are not too polluted as many others. This beach was awarded the Ecological Blue Flag, which is a price given by the Environment Ministry to the cleanest beaches
Here we know each other, thus, we take care of some issues as security. In fact, we have a local police office, and a first aids department.
Barú River: this is a majestic, clean, long, and low flow river that attracts visitors to enjoy its waters and spend a nice time.
Nauyaka Waterfalls are located only 10 km from Dominical. Those are quite popular due to their size and beauty.
The “Poza Azul” is a wonderful and short waterfall that invites people to enjoy its fresh water.
Sport Fishing is an activity currently developed at Barú, Dominicalito, Morete, and Hatillo Rivers. People can fish species like bass, pargo, macarela, and sharp from some cliffs such as “Rocas de Amancio”, “Roca Verde”, “Fermín”, and “Puerto Nuevo”. If you wish to go fishing to some other places, we take you to El Caño Island, and the Country’s South Zone.
Costa Rica’s South Zone is not too inhabited. Its shores still keep much of the exuberant plants, which provide food and home for the many mammals, insects, amphibians, and big reptiles (iguanas, alligators.).
Underwater species are also invaluable: there are several fish, octopi, lobsters, shrimps, and crabs among others.
If looking for fauna, you will find some birds you had never thought to see, for example, macaws, parrots, toucans, sergeants, and many others.
What about fruits?
Since Dominical is located in a tropical zone, you will find the most exotic and tasty fruits, which are grown right here. In addition to their nutritious value, fruits will satisfy your appetite without spending lots of money.

You can get to San Isidro down town in 45 minutes approximately (36 kilometers). In San Isidro you will find many other goods and services such as:
